HOT OFF THE PRESS

On a recent club event to Diamond Island on Lake George, one of the club divers had a startling find of a crystal embedded in volcanic rock. After bringing the rock home and using precise extraction methods the crystal was removed from its 1000 year old resting place and found to be a carbon based crystal not quartz. We are not sure of what we have discovered, but the club geologist Rocco Angolob has confirmed that this clear stone may have value to it. He has further directed us to have a registered gemologist examine this item to verify that his conclusions are correct. We will have the conclusions for you at the next regular meeting and our plans for going back to Diamond Point before the snow flies.
